Wow! Two posts in a week! This has never happened before! But this was an English assignment, and you guys deserve at least another post before I go offline again, so I decided to post this little gem for you all!

Guy Montag lives in a world without books. His job is to burn the books that threaten his society, and he does it gladly. He is called a fireman, but firemen don’t put out fires anymore, they use fire to burn. They burn the books, and the houses they were stored in. It is against the law to read any of the books they burn, and no one questions what could be inside. Guy does his job, does it well, and never questions what he is doing, continuing his boring life with his wife, Mildred, and the television screens she calls her “family”.  But all this changes one night when he meets a 17-year-old girl named Clarisse. With a few questions, and a few stories, she changes Guy’s worldview completely. But he pretends to ignore it, until he finally can’t. He sees a woman burn, and starts wondering why she was so interested in the books that supposedly mean nothing. Soon, he can’t stop thinking about it, and the ideas Clarisse put into his mind. Guy slowly begins to question everything he has ever learned, and what he can do to change it.

The Diabolic By S.J. Kincaid

Hi everyone, it has been a while! Sorry for not posting in forever, (Yes, I know there is 10 people writing on here we have no excuse,) but here is a book review for you all!

“A Diabolic is ruthless.A Diabolic is powerful.A Diabolic has a single task: Kill in order to protect the person you’ve been created for.”

The diabolic by S.J. Kincaid is a very well written novel which captivates you from the first sentence. The book focuses on the concept of humanity, and what being a human means, and why someone is classified as a person.

Nemesis is a Diabolic, a humanoid teenager created to protect a galactic senator’s daughter, Sidonia. They have grown up side by side, but are not sisters. Nemesis is expected to give her life up for Sidonia, and would do so, gladly. She will take lives with no hesitation, as long as it keeps her safe.

When the power hungry emperor learns that Sidonia´s father is going against the law by participating in a religion, he summons Sidonia to court, as a hostage. There is only one way for Nemesis to protect her friend ; she must become Sidonia. Nemesis travels to the court as Sidonia, now a killing machine masquerading in a world of corrupt politicians and two-faced senators’ children. It’s a gauntlet with threats on every side, but Nemesis must keep her true abilities a secret or risk everything, including Sidonia, the one person she must keep safe.

As the Empire begins to fracture and rebellion looms closer, Nemesis learns there is something more to her than just deadly force. She finds a humanity truer than what she encounters from most humans. Amidst all the danger, action, and intrigue, her humanity just might be the thing that saves her life, and the empire.

Fablehaven by Brandon Mull

Hey everyone! I haven't posted in ages! But since I'm back in school, and I had to do a book report, I decided to post this on here. (If you are my teacher reading this no, I did not plagiarize this from here I write on a blog and you can ask me about it if you want.)



Fablehaven by Brandon Mull is a well written novel about a magical world called Fablehaven. The main theme for this book would probably be family. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to read about magical settings or magical worlds. The plot was intriguing and the characters felt like someone you could meet in real life. It was put together really well and it Fablehaven almost felt like a real place. The only problem I had with this book was that the plot felt a little rushed. Other than that this book met my expectations, (which were quite high to begin with), and might have went a little over them too. This book isn’t very long (only 351 pages) but it’s worth the read. But I bet what you guys want is the summary so here it is!

When Kendra and Seth have to go to their grandfather's house for two weeks, what they weren't expecting was a mansion. They certainly wasn't expecting fairies in his yard nor witches in the forest near his house. But unfortunately that's what they found. It is soon revealed that their grandfather is the caretaker of a magical preserve called Fablehaven, and he is testing them to see if they can be the next caretakers. But when something goes drastically wrong, the siblings must find a way to restore what was lost on their own.

The selection by Kira Cass

WOW ITS BEEN A MONTH SINCE OUR LAST POST WHAT EVEN. Sorry everyone but we all are on vacation and stuff... Anyway I haven't been able to read much since I'm too lazy to take out my kindle or try and write something for here... But hopefully this book review will be sufficient for annother month (jk I'm going to get other people to try and write befor this can happen again) but without firther ado, here is the review!

The Selection by Kira Cass is a intriguing

novel (in a series) which main theme is (again) love. The plot is well written, the twists are well thought out, and the way it's all put together is amazing. But I guess you want the summary so here I go!

America Singer lives in a place called Illea, where the inhabitants are separated by castes basted on their profession, or their parents profession. It ranges on a scale of 1 to 8, 1 being royals and 8 being the criminals. America just so happens to be a 5, which is quite low. She hears of a competition being hosted at the place for all of the eligible girls in Illea. The winner gets the prince's hand in marriage, and all of the girls participating get bumped up to a 3 and their family gets a sum of money for however long they are gone from home. Unlike the other girl, though, as soon as America heard about this competition she wants no part in it. Her mother tries to convince her to enter her name, but she still isn't sure if she wants to do it or not. When a friend of hers begs her to do it, she enters. On the day of the choosing, she sits there hoping she doesn't get chosen, but of course, she does. Now America Singer as been entered in the competition of a lifetime. She might find love, she might make some friends, and possibly meet enemies. But what I can tell you is that she will be a changed person. After all, this is the selection.

Just to warn you this book is in a series of 6? Idk 5? But you've probably read Jorina's reveiw of The Crown which is the last book in this series so happy reading!

Messenger of Fear by Michael Grant

Well I haven't posted in a while... But now I'm back, and with a review for you all!

 Anyway, here's another Michael Grant novel...

Messenger of Fear by Michael Grant is a interesting novel about balancing the good and evil in the world. To be honest, this wasn't one of the best books I have ever read, but it wasn't the worse either. You might want to read this book if you have nothing else to read, but don't read it if you have 50 other books.

When Mara wakes up in a mysterious place with no memory of who she is other than her name, she can sense that something is very wrong. She encounters a boy who goes by the name of Messenger. She learns that the Messenger sees the darkness in peoples hearts, and the damage it inflicts upon the world. If they go unpunished, he offers the wicked a game. Win, and they can go free. Lose, and they will live out their greatest fear. She isn't sure why any of this has anything to do with her, but she will find out soon enough.

As she helps the messenger prefom his "duties" she starts to wonder, Why was she chosen to be the Messenger's apprentice? What has she done to deserve this terrible fate? But she might never learn, and if she does, it will be too late. She will already have been the Messenger of Fear.

I rate this book 3.5/5 bookish badges. It isn't a bad book, but it isn't the greatest one either. Or maybe I just think that Michael Grant's other books were better...

Trials of Apollo: The Hidden Oracle By Rick Riordan

I'm sure if you have been alive since May 3rd, you have heard of the brand new book Rick Riordan has decided to write so that he can kill us... AGAIN. But now that most of us have finished it, prepare yourself for a bunch of reviews.

Trials of Apollo is one of Rick Riordan's best, in my opinion (or is it that I'm just way too happy that it finally came out?). It has a bunch of plot twists, a bunch of cliff hangers (This is Rick Riordan we are talking about what do you expect honestly), and is a nicely illustrated plot, showing us a side of Camp Half Blood we have never seen. If you haven't read any of Rick Riordan's books yet, then I highly recommend reading them first, it will be very confusing if you don't.

So the summary.
Apollo. A used to be God of Olympus. When he angered Zeus, which is not a very good idea, he was cast down, now a mortal. To get back up to Olympus, he believes that he has to complete trials, hence Trials of Apollo. His name is now Lester Papadopoulos, who, has Apollo finds out, is just a mortal, not even a demigod.
He meets a girl named Meg McCaffery who rescues him. Apollo realizes that there is only one place that is safe - Camp Half Blood.
But he has lots of enemies that would love a chance to get him now that he is a mortal, and not to mention those trials he has to complete. But with him learning how to cope with life, he doesn't know who to trust-or who not to. After all, Zeus wouldn't make The Trials of Apollo too easy, would he?

I rate this book 4.5/5 Bookish Badges because it is quite nicely written, and it ties up most of the loose ends of Heroes of Olympus. Happy Reading!

Why Ravenclaw is Amazing

Hi viewers! We are starting a house pride series, and next up is my personal favorite, and also Amy's, Phillip's and my house, the intelligent, sharp, witty, wise, and unique RAVENCLAW!

Ravenclaw has been shadowed by Gryffindor, but there is more to this amazing house than you might think. Everyone says that Ravenclaw's only talent is being smart, but there are a lot more qualities a Ravenclaw has than just being brilliant.

1. Ravenclaws like to think outside the box.

I mean, look at Gilderoy Lockhart, for example. Yes, I know that erasing someone's memory is bad, but imagine what he must have thought to come up with this idea?! Like you don't just wake up and think "Oh, since I can't do anything brave, why don't I just wipe other people's memories and take their credit," do you?!

2. Ravenclaws are unique.

Lets take a look at Luna Lovegood. In the Order of the Phoenix when Luna is introduced there is a quote (that I can not put on here because Hanna banned book quotes), that says that she gave an aura of distinct dottiness. What in that quote doesn't scream that she is unique?!

3. Getting into the Ravenclaw Common Room sounds really cool!

You answer a question, that usually only Ravenclaws can answer. I mean, look at when harry entered the Ravenclaw common room. He still needed LUNA to answer the question!

5. Ravenclaws like to speak their mind.

Ravenclaws can be surprisingly outspoken. I know that when ever I get the chance to speak my mind, I will!

6. Ravenclaw's crest is amazing!

Lets look at it for a moment.

See! The crest looks amazing doesn't it?

7. Ravenclaw's tower has the best views!

The windows in Ravenclaw tower looks over the school grounds, the lake, the Qudditch pitch, the forbidden forest, and the herbology gardens!

8. Ravenclaw has the most clever people!

After all, Ravenclaw does value intelegence.

9. Ravenclaws have the most personality.

You already saw Luna Lovegood, who obviously has the most personality out   of them all!

10. Most of the greatest wizarding inventors were in Ravenclaw.

For example, I'm sure you all remember Millicent Bagnold, the Minster of Magic when Harry's Parents died. Did any of you know that she was a Ravenclaw?

11. Ravenclaws get along with every house!

Instead of being like Gryffindor and Slytherin, and having a rivalry with another house, we can get along with every single house just fine! Except for test scores and maybe Quidditch.

12. Ravenclaw is the most interesting house.

I mean, Ravenclaw's founder has an amazing backstory, Ravenclaw's  ghost has an amazing backstory, Ravenclaw's history is amazing, what more do you need?

13. Ravenclaw doesn't need a concealed entrance to their common room.

All of the other houses have a concealed entrance, whether it be behind a painting, hidden behind a brick wall, hidden behind some barrels, but Ravenclaw doesn't need to be concealed, it just has a question you need to answer!

14. Ravenclaws don't judge people who march to a different tune; on the contrary, they value them!

For all you people think/know that they are weird, and think that they will be judged, don't worry! As long as you are in Ravenclaw (IDK about the other houses), you won't be judged at all!

15. Ravenclaws get the right to wear what you like, believe what you want, and say what you feel.

I know that in some houses, you will be judged on what you believe and how you act, but Ravenclaw doesn't care.

16. Ravenclaws always get the best scores on tests.

Well the reason for this is a no-brainer. Ravenclaw is the "smart house"!

17. Other houses have a locket and cup, but Ravenclaw gets an amazing diadem!

Slytherin has a locket, Hufflepuff has a cup, but we get an awesome diadem!!!

18. Ravenclaw wasn't in the books so much.

So what. Ravenclaws were probably off studying.

19. Brains beat brawn.

This is a known fact, especially if you are in Ravenclaw!

20. Ravenclaw is made of actual words.

There is no such thing as a Gryffindor, and Slytherin is common slang, and what is a Hufflepuff?!

Also, +Phillip Meader Yetter  wants me to put that Ravenclaw is amazing because he is in it, but honestly, Ravenclaw is amazing because of all the people in it. Thanks for reading this seriously long post! Always remember, the sorting hat knows best!

The Unwanteds by Lisa McMann

The Unwanteds will draw you in on the first sentence. It is probably a book you have never heard of, (unless you know me in real life but...) which I don't get why no one has heard of it, it's amazing. Anyway, The Unwanteds is about a pair of twins, Alex and Aaron Stowe, who are as different as anyone can possibly be. They live in a land called Quill where creativity is a sin. When you turn 13, if you had shown signs of creativity, you have to go to the Great Lake of  Boiling Oil, to be purged, aka killed. When it is Alex and Aaron's day, they find out that Alex is an Unwanted and to be purged, and Aaron is a Wanted, their relationship might never be the same. Alex now has to face the Lake of Boiling Oil, and the Death Farm. But when he gets there, he finds out that there is no lake, nor death farm, but a magical land called Artimé (Ha Phillip I got the é). Artimé is a place which thrives on creativity, and it is a colorful, magical, wonderful place. Alex starts learning the creative magic that they use, and soon becomes very good at it. But, Aaron is slowly gaining more power in Quill, and this might just pin brother against brother in a battle. Maybe somehow Alex will find a way to save both worlds. After all, he is Unwanted, which might be the best thing you can be in this moment.

Red Queen is an amazing book! You will not be able to put it down, until you finish it.

Mare Barrow lives in a society based on blood. There are two castes, red and silver. The silver blooded people have special abilities, like mind control, being able to see glimpses of the future, controlling metal, and fire control. The reds have no powers, just like you and me. Mare is different. She works as a thief, until one day, she gets caught. She finds out that she has her own power, one that she is not supposed to have. She gets thrown into the world of slivers, and she doesn’t know who to trust. Her blood might just be the downfall of them all. When Mare finds out that there are more people, just like her, she has to make a choice, whether to stay, or leave. She is the one, the one that will change the world. After all, she is the Red Queen.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

If you haven’t read Harry Potter you absolutely MUST! This book has all the amazing components: a villain, heroes, and a prophecy.

    Harry Potter lives with his abusive Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon. He makes weird things happen, like finding himself on the roof of his school, and he doesn’t know how he got there. On his birthday, he finds out he is a wizard, via a letter, and heads off to the wizard school, Hogwarts. He finds new friends, has great adventures, plays a magical sport called Quidditch, and faces a villain.  His magic leads to many wins and losses, but he works them out to his advantage. After all, he is the Chosen One.
